Carter Cromwell is in his first season as director of press box activities and statistics coordinator for the Martinez Mackerel. He also contributes articles to the web site.
Cromwell previously was in a similar role with the San Rafael Pacifics, champion of the independent Pacific Association in both 2018 and 2019.
His background includes 11 years as a sportswriter for daily newspapers, during which time he won several awards while covering a wide variety of sports at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.
Since then, he has had a successful career in corporate public relations, while continuing to freelance as a sportswriter.
Away from the job, Cromwell spends time with family, which includes his wife, son, three Labrador retrievers, four grandchildren and numerous in-laws. In what time remains, he travels, having thus far visited 70+ countries.
